PRIDE TAME WILDCATS IN 3-0 VICTORY

WESTON, Mass.—Freshmen Angel Aguilar (Silver Spring, Md./Pennsauken) and Chris Millington (Huntington, N.Y./St. Anthony's) each scored goals to lead Regis College (2-0) to a 3-0 win over Wheelock College (0-1) Saturday.

Junior Josh Fidalgo (Dorchester, Mass./Boston College) also posted a score for the Pride. Regis' Sean Crawford (Framingham, Mass./Framingham) and Billy Sedewitz (Framingham, Mass./Framingham) contributed on the Aguilar and Millington goals respectively. Junior Wade Thongsythavong (Salem, Mass./Salem) assisted Fidalgo.

"Our underclassmen have done a good job so far, their talented," said head coach Jonathan Keefe. "Overall we're doing a good job…I liked the way we possessed the ball today."

Regis College maintained much of the possession in the second half allowing just one shot on second-half keeper Stefan Todorovic (Valley Village, Calif./Notre Dame).

Wheelock had four shots on the day. Junior Max Kaim (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Cypress Bay) had three shots against the Pride keepers. The Wildcats began to turn up the pressure against Regis in the second period.

Of the four shots taken in the game for the Wildcats, only one was close enough to make first period Regis goalkeeper Ryne Tillman (Bedford, Mass./Bridgton Academy) attempt a save.

The Wildcats' Victor Kashouh (Providence, R.I./Classical) had seven saves in the game. As a team, Regis had 23 shots compared to Wheelock's four.

The Pride will face Emerson (Sept. 6) to continue its three games in four-day opening week. Wheelock will face Benedictine (Ill.) on the same day at 11 a.m.
