WESTON, Mass.—Regis College is adding talent to its men's soccer team for the upcoming year with the announcement from Regis Athletics that George Herrera (Lynn, Mass./Lynn English) will be joining the Pride's soccer squad this fall.

Herrera was a three-year starter for the Lynn English Bulldogs, and helped the team to a Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) appearance.

"George displays the necessary skills, determination, and heart to make a significant contribution," said Kerry King, head varsity soccer coach at Lynn English.

Herrera's skills also earned him Northeastern Conference All-Star recognition, as well as being named a Daily Evening Item All-Star and Agganis All-Star his senior season.

Regis College will begin competition in the New England Collegiate Conference beginning in the fall of 2011. Formally a member of The Commonwealth Coast Conference, Regis College has captured eight wins in three seasons.
