Weston, Mass.—Regis College, during its annual athletic awards banquet, announced Wade Thongsythavong (Salem, Mass. Salem High) as being the Regis College Outstanding Third-Year Student-Athlete of the year.

This is the first year that the award was presented. Thongsythavong is a three-year member of the men’s soccer program at Regis College.

Thongsythavong has appeared in 51 games, scored four goals, and passed nine assists for the Pride. Playing mostly as a defender, Thongsythavong is a pivotal player on Regis’ back-line.

Thongsythavong has helped Regis College to eight wins in its three years as a varsity sport, and is one of the team’s three captains. Third-year head coach Jonathan Keefe brought Thongsythavong in with his original recruiting class.
