
BERMUDEZ-GLEAN NETS FIFTH NECC ROOKIE HONOR
For the second-straight week and fifth time this season, Regis College freshman Carlos Bermudez-Glean has been named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Rookie of the Week in men’s basketball. Bermudez-Glean helped lead the Pride (13-15) to their first NECC Tournament appearance last week.
WESTON, Mass. – For the second-straight week and fifth time this season, Regis College freshman Carlos Bermudez-Glean has been named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Rookie of the Week in men's basketball. Bermudez-Glean helped lead the Pride (13-15) to their first NECC Tournament appearance last week.
Bermudez-Glean earned all-tournament honors for his performance last week as well. The freshman guard averaged 14 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 3.3 steals per game during the Tournament. Bermudez-Glean scored 14 points and added five rebounds and four steals in the Pride's 60-58 win over DWC in the First Round. He followed that up with 13 points, four rebounds, three assists, and three steals in the Pride's 66-59 OT win over Newbury. Bermudez-Glean posted 15 points, four rebounds, six assists and three steals in the Championship game loss to Elms.
In his first season at Regis, the freshman averaged 10 points per game, while adding 2.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.7 steals per contest.
