
REGIS EARNS SIX SEED, FACES WHEELOCK TUESDAY NIGHT
The Regis College men’s basketball program earned the number six seed in the upcoming NECC postseason, it was announced by the league offices on Sunday. The Pride (10-15, 7-9 NECC) will take on three seed Wheelock College (12-13, 10-6 NECC) on Tuesday night in a 7:00 p.m. matchup. The winner advances to take on Elms College on Friday night at 8:00 p.m.

Regis enters the playoffs following a victory in a must-win game on Saturday against Southern Vermont as the Pride defeated the Mountaineers, 93-58, at home on Senior Day. Kandley Val (Boston, Mass.) recorded his first double-double of the season with 17 points and 10 rebounds, while classmate Jonathan Josselin (Medford, Mass.) just missed out on a triple-double with 13 points, 10 assists, and eight rebounds.
Fifth seed Newbury College (11-14, 8-8 NECC) will travel to fourth seed Daniel Webster College (9-15, 8-8 NECC). The winner will play top seed Becker in a semifinal contest on Friday.
The top six teams qualify for the NECC Championship. Predetermined tiebreaking procedures were used to seed teams with identical conference winning percentages.
First round games will be played on Tuesday, February 21 at the higher seed. Winners will advance to the semifinals on Friday, February 24. Semifinal winners will meet Saturday, February 25 at Becker College.
