PHIL ALIBRANDI SCORES 1,000 CAREER-POINTS IN MEN'S BASKETBALL HISTORY

WESTON, Mass.—In The Commonwealth Coast Conference quarterfinal game Tuesday, four-year starter and senior co-captain Phil Alibrandi (York, Maine/York) became the second player in Regis College men’s basketball history to score at least 1,000 career points.

Alibrandi helped Regis College reach its first TCCC postseason in the programs four-year history at Regis College. He posted 15 points versus Salve Regina Tuesday. Although the Pride lost 68-52, Regis College (15-10, 8-6 TCCC) had its best season in four years, had two 1,000-point scorers, and an all-conference team announcement.

Alibrandi was Regis’ second leading scorer on the season with 10.5 points per game, and first in rebounds (150) with an average of 5.8 per game. Alibrandi finished in the top 20 in the TCCC in rebounds per game average. He posted a 43 percent field goal percentage in 26 games.

Over his four-year career Alibrandi shot better than 44 percent from the field, 32 percent from the three-point arc, and averaged 70.3 percent at the charity stripe. In his junior year Alibrandi scored 11.3 points per game, his highest of four years, and was named to the All-TCCC Team.
