WESTON, Mass.—The No. 4 Regis College men’s basketball team will host its first The Commonwealth Coast Conference game Tuesday (Feb. 22) when it faces No. 5 Salve Regina University at 7:00 p.m. Head coach Nate Hager directed his team to a 15-10 overall record, and 8-5 TCCC finish.
Salve Regina (14-10, 8-5 TCCC) and Regis College had the conference tiebreak policy implemented to determine seeding. Both Salve and Regis College compiled a 2-1 record over the four 8-5 teams. Since Regis College defeated Salve Regina (Jan. 11) 75-63 in its lone match-up, Regis College earned the highest seed of the four teams.
Hager was hired by Director of Athletics, Marybeth Lamb, to head coach the first men's basketball team in the 2007-08 season. Regis College went co-educational in the fall of 2007 after having served as a women's only institution since 1927.
