
THREE TALLY DOUBLE FIGURES AS REGIS FALLS TO WESTERN CONNECTICUT
Weston, Mass.—Three Regis College players scored in double figures in a 93-72 loss to Western Connecticut Wednesday. Regis College (4-6) was led by senior James Cooper (Philadelphia, Pa) with 15 points in 24 minutes.

Cooper was 6-of-11 (55 percent) from the field, and 50 percent from behind the three-point line. Teammates Jesse Vega (Pawtucket, R.I.) and Derrick Neal (Boston, Mass.) contributed 14 and 10 points respectively.
Vega was an impressive 91 percent (10-of-11) from the free-throw line. Neal was perfect from the free-throw line making all four attempts.
As a team Regis shot over 73 percent for the game. Regis was 16-of-16 from the free-throw line in the first half, and missed just nine of its 18 attempts in the second.
Regis was unable to connect from long distance, shooting just 18 percent (2-of-11) from the three-point line. The Pride was also out rebounded by -15 for the game. Regis posted just 30 rebounds to the Western Connecticut's 45.
The Pride will look to regain its momentum heading into its first The Commonwealth Coast Conference game Saturday, Jan. 9 at 3 p.m.
