Pride Defeats Bulldogs, 5-1

FRANKLIN, Mass. – The Regis College field hockey team defeated Dean College, 5-1, in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) game on Saturday.

Just two minutes into the game, Chloe Grande (Topsfield, Mass.) put the Pride on the board after receiving a pass in the circle from Frankie Alley (Gardner, Mass.) for the first Regis goal of the game. Regis's offense kept applying pressure as Alley scored two goals just over two minutes apart, giving the Pride a three-goal lead in the first quarter.

Six minutes into the second quarter, Regis gained possession in the circle resulting in a penalty corner, with a goal scored by Sarah Juskiewicz (Gorham, Maine) assisted by Gracie Marsh (Orange, Mass.). The final Pride goal was acquired late in the second period by Anna Miele-DeFelice (Framingham, Mass.), assisted by Alley.

After Dean was held scoreless through three quarters, Emily Kilpatrick scored for the Bulldogs in the fourth period, assisted by Sydnee Ramos. For the match, Regis had 14 shots on goal, while Dean had one shot on goal.

The Pride are scheduled to host Saint Joesph's College of Maine Tuesday, Oct. 10, at 7:30 p.m. at Regis Stadium.
