Field Hockey, Lacrosse Represented on CSC Academic All-District At-Large Team

WESTON, Mass. - Regis College is represented by five rising seniors on the 2022-23 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Women's At-Large Team for NCAA Division III: lacrosse student-athlete Mia Rogers (Revere, Mass.) and field hockey players Olivia Bell (Poland, Maine), Sarah Juskiewicz (Gorham, Maine), Ashley Monteiro (Atkinson, N.H.), and Jocelyn White (Wilmington, Mass.).

Rogers started 14 of the 15 matches she appeared in for the Pride during the 2023 season, finishing with 11 goals, one assist, 40 groundballs, nine draw controls, and 20 caused turnovers. She notched her first career hat trick with three goals at Dean March 11, plus she collected two groundballs and caused four turnovers.

In the Pride's 10-8 victory over Fitchburg State March 24, Rogers scored consecutive goals 35 seconds apart late in the third quarter, and then she picked up an assist midway through the fourth period to provide a two-goal cushion for Regis. Elected Student Government Association (SGA) Treasurer for the 2023-24 academic year, Rogers is a nursing major.

Bell earned her second consecutive Scholar of Distinction award from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) in February for her high academic performance as a nuclear medicine major. She also took part in academic trip to Ulster University in Northern Ireland during Spring Break for presentations within nuclear medicine and exercise science.

On the field, Bell started all 16 matches for the Pride, playing a significant role in the team's defensive effort. She helped Regis post a 4-0 shutout over Dean Sept. 24, plus she was credited with defensive saves at Saint Joseph's College Sept. 28 and at Anna Maria Oct. 13.

Juskiewicz was also in the starting lineup for every Regis match during the 2022 season, ending the year with three goals and two assists for eight total points. She scored goals against Clark Sept. 13 and Dean Sept. 24, plus she picked up an assist at Saint Joseph's College Sept. 28.

In the Oct. 1 match at Elms, Juskiewicz scored with two-and-a-half minutes remaining in the second overtime period to give the Pride a 2-1 victory, voted Best Overtime Win by Regis student-athletes at the end of the academic year. A two-time NFHCA National Academic Squad selection, Juskiewicz is majoring in business management.

Monteiro has started all 29 matches for the Pride over the past two seasons, collecting two assists for the second straight year in 2022. Her first assist of the season came in Regis' 4-0 victory over Dean Sept. 24, and then she picked up her second assist of the year at Lasell Oct. 19.

Monteiro's first career collegiate goal came in the 2021 season opener against Lasell as she scored just over five minutes into the second quarter to give the Pride an early lead. Previously selected Academic All-GNAC and to the NFHCA National Academic Squad, Monteiro is majoring in nursing.

White has been the starting goalie for the Pride over the past two seasons, earning 13 starts in both 2021 and 2022. She picked up her second career shutout with a 4-0 victory over Dean Sept. 24, plus she made 10 saves and posted a .909 save percentage in helping the Pride defeat Elms in double overtime Oct. 1, 2-1.

On Oct. 15 at Johnson and Wales, White finished with 13 saves, followed by a season-high 14 saves in the last match of the 2022 season Oct. 26 against Colby-Sawyer. Also selected to the NFHCA National Academic Squad and Academic All-GNAC, White is majoring in social work at Regis.

The 2022-23 Academic All‐District® At-Large Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators and announced by the national organization Tuesday, May 23, recognize the nation's top student‐athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The Academic All-District® Women's At-Large Teams include student-athletes participating in beach volleyball, bowling, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, rowing, skiing, and water polo.

Academic All‐District® honorees advance to the College Sports Communicators Academic All‐America® ballot. First‐, second-, and third‐team Academic All‐America® honorees will be announced Thursday, June 22.

Regis College sponsors 20 intercollegiate sports, including field hockey and women's lacrosse, within NCAA Division III as a member of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference.
