WESTON, Mass. - Regis College took the early lead and stayed with Colby-Sawyer College throughout the first half, but the Chargers pulled away in the second half to defeat the Pride, 6-1, Wednesday evening in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) field hockey match at Regis Stadium.

The Pride took the lead 6:45 into the match when Chloe Grande (Topsfield, Mass.) followed up her own shot with a rebound that found the back of the netfor her second goal in three matches. Regis created another scoring chance less than a minute later when Frankie Alley (Gardner, Mass.) took a shot that was kicked away by Charger goalie Lauren Wilkinson.

The Chargers started to increase their offensive pressure in the second quarter thanks to consecutive shots by Aoife Daly and Emma Webster that were stopped by Regis goalie Jocelyn White (Wilmington, Mass.). Just over one-and-a-half minutes into the period, Aleah Murph redirected a feed from Taylor Gaudette into the net for her 10th goal of the season.

With three minutes gone from the second quarter, Webster started a penalty corner play and then stationed herself at the left post, where Gaudette sent a pass for Webster to tip into the net for the go-ahead tally.
