Field Hockey Loses at Framingham State

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. – Regis College lost to Framingham State, 7-0, Wednesday night in a non-conference collegiate field hockey match at Maple Street Field.

Framingham State (2-1) scored 1:44 into the match as Angelina Serra set up Isabella Kondi for the first goal of the contest. Later in the first period, Corlene Guenard assisted on two Kaitlin Loughlin tallies to increase the Ram lead to 3-0 after the period.

With 1:41 elapsed to start the second period, Kondi assisted on a goal by Serra, and the Rams held a 4-0 lead at halftime. After picking up her third assist of the night on a goal by Abigail Clark in the third period, Guenard scored three minutes into the fourth period off an assist by Clark, and Jordyn O'Boyle completed the scoring just over a minute-and-a-half later, with Bridgette Hasbrouck earning the assist.

Jocelyn White (Wilmington, Mass.) made 10 saves in net for the Pride, while Grace Pushor picked up the victory as the Framingham State goalie. Clark led the Ram offense with six total shots, and Sarah Juskiewicz (Gorham, Maine) and Frankie Alley (Gardner, Mass.) each challenged the Ram defense with shots of their own.

Regis College (0-2) hosts Elms College in a conference matchup Saturday, Sept. 18, starting at 3 p.m. at Regis Stadium.
