WESTON, Mass. – Annie Villare, entering her second year as head coach of the Regis College field hockey team, has announced that four student-athletes have made deposits with the school, confirming their commitment to the field hockey program starting in Fall 2019.

"We are extremely excited for the four individuals of the 2023 class to join our team this fall. The current team has put in tremendous work in the weight room and on the field this past spring to develop their strength and skills, and it is evident the incoming class has already bought in to what we are building as a program. We will look to this class to develop the team's attacking play and scoring opportunities. Collectively, their athleticism, hustle, and determination will make an immediate mark on our program," said Villare.

Sheridan Blaha of nearby Waltham, Mass., served as a captain during her senior year at Waltham High School. A two-time Dual County League All-Star, she led the team with 13 goals and three assists during her senior season. Blaha is an honor roll student. She is the niece of Julie Rando Ranucci '94, a Regis College Athletics Hall of Famer and Mother Regis Award recipient.

Nora Buck of Shawmut, Maine, played both forward and midfield for Lawrence High School. In her senior year, she was a team captain and a First Team All-Conference selection within the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference after collecting 18 goals and 11 assists. Buck completed her prep career with 47 goals. She is a member of the National Honor Society and received both the Social Studies Award and the Shine On Cass Award.

Hannah Schneiderman of Manchester, N.H., was a defender at Manchester Central High School. She helped the Little Green post a 9-5 record during the 2018 season. She was a member of the student council, a Deca state finalist, and a consistent honoree on the High Honors List. Schneiderman plans to major in nursing at Regis.

Amelia Thomas of Hopkinton, N.H., played midfield at Hopkinton High School. A three-time All-State honoree, Thomas was named Division 3 Player of the Year and Concord Monitor Player of the Season. She is a three-year member of the High Honors Roll, a member of the National German Honor Society, and a 2018 recipient of the NHIAA Scholar-Athlete Award. She will rejoin current Pride player Bridget Pope as a teammate after the two played together for Seacoast Field Hockey.

The Regis College field hockey team played seven one-goal matches during the 2018 season, including three overtime contests. The Pride aim to qualify for the GNAC Field Hockey Tournament in 2019.
