HAWKS BLANK PRIDE 3-0

LEICESTER, Mass. – The Regis College field hockey team dropped a 3-0 decision to New England Collegiate Conference foe Becker College on Saturday afternoon at Alumni Field. With the loss, the Pride fall to 8-8, 6-3 NECC and with the win, the Hawks improve to 7-11, 6-2 NECC.

Senior Katherine Landanno (Winchendon, Mass.) put the Hawks on the board with 17:06 remaining in the first half when she put back a rebound near the left post for her sixth goal of the season.

Becker added to their lead with 17:03 remaining in regulation. Brittney Bebeau (Harrisville, R.I.) scored when she rebounded her own shot while falling down for her team leading tenth goal of the season.

Katherine Landanno tickled the twine with 11:58 left on the clock with a shot into the top left corner of the Regis net to give Becker a commanding 3-0 advantage.

Raegan Heck (Phillipston, Mass.) suffered the loss after making ten saves, while Gabrielle Gallo (Northport, N.Y.) made four saves to earn her fourth shutout of the season.

Both teams return to action on Wednesday, October 28th. Becker will travel to NECC rival Daniel Webster at 4:00 p.m., while Regis heads to Rivier College for a 7:00 p.m. tilt with Raiders.
