WESTON, Mass. – For the first time this season, senior forward Christine O'Toole (Boston, Mass.) of the Regis College field hockey team has been named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Week, it was announced by the conference on Monday morning.
O'Toole helped Regis lock up the second seed and home-field advantage in the upcoming NECC playoffs after recording an assist and the game-winning goal in a 2-1 double overtime win over Elms College on Saturday afternoon, the Pride's fourth straight victory. Through 17 games this season, O'Toole has five goals and two assists for 12 points, which ranks second among the team.
O'Toole and the rest of the Pride (7-10, 5-1 NECC) will host Elms again this Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 4 p.m. for the NECC Semifinals.
