PRIDE PLACE FOUR ON NFHCA ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM

WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College field hockey team placed four student-athletes on the 2012 Gladiator by SGI National Field Hockey Coaches Association's All-Academic Team. The National Academic Squad recognizes those student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2012-13 academic year.

Junior Kym Kerr (Uxbridge, Mass.) highlights the selection after being recognized for the second consecutive year.

Joining Kerr on the All-Academic Team is sophomore Katie Blackburn (Milford, Mass.), as well as freshmen Devan Wirtanen (Westminster, Mass.) and Melinda Sutton (Eliot, Mass.).

The Pride finished the season with a 3-14 overall record and will be looking to return to the NECC playoffs this fall.
