WESTON, Mass. – Regis College field hockey netminder Genesiz Gudiel (Lawrence, Mass.) has been named the NECC Rookie of the Week this week, it was announced by the conference offices on Monday afternoon. The Pride suffered a 2-0 setback to Framingham State on Saturday afternoon.

In her first collegiate game, Gudiel faced 11 shots in the 2-0 loss, making four saves in the team's season opener.

Genesiz Gudiel and the Regis College Pride return to action on Thursday night when the Crimson and Gold travel to Mount Holyoke College for a 7:00 p.m. matchup.
