WESTON, Mass. - This past week, members of the Regis College men's lacrosse team took part in two community service projects.
On Sunday, Nov. 3rd, sophomores Mike Emanuelson (Silver Lake, N.H.) and Andrew O'Reilly (Hollis, N.H.) joined Team IMPACT teammates Sean and Dennis Lambert for their contests at the Massachusetts Special Olympics Fall Soccer Tournament. The games were held at Governor's Academy in Byfield, Mass.
Over 1,200 athletes representing more than 100 teams from across the state gathered to compete in a series of round-robin soccer matches.
On Wednesday, Nov. 6, student athletes once again began participating in the ongoing series of reading sessions with kindergartners at the Regis Academy held on campus.
Pride lacrosse freshmen Tyler Estes (Geneva, I.L.) and D.J. Barrile (Medford, Mass.) read Judi Barrett's "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs" to the class. Both players also answered questions from the children regarding the sport of lacrosse, their home states, and college life.
