HOPKINTON, N.H. - Members of the Regis College cross country team concluded the 2024 season by competing Saturday at the 2024 NCAA Division III Cross Country East Regional Championships, held at the Hopkinton State Fairgrounds.
Riley Stogsdill (San Diego, Calif.) crossed the finish line in 104th place with a time of 27:50.41, over 50 seconds faster than the time he posted on the same course last month at the Bruce Kirsh Cup. Benjamin Happenny (Woonsocket, R.I.) completed the eight-kilometer course in 32:13.30, followed by Brian LaPorte (Bridgewater, Mass.) with a time of 32:58.57.
In the women's six-kilometer event, Jonnie Charest (Methuen, Mass.) finished the race in 169th place overall with a time of 27:22.41. Olivia Mmamelu (Waltham, Mass.) ended her first season as a collegiate student-athlete by posting a time of 31:26.73.
These competitors will move onto the indoor track and field portion of the year, with Regis' first meet taking place Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Wesleyan Winter Invitational in Middletown, Conn.
