Clinics for Girls in Three Sports Set for September 29

WESTON, Mass. - Three different Regis College athletic programs are sponsoring clinics on Sunday, Sept. 29, as the Pride women's basketball, women's lacrosse, and softball teams will welcome interested girls to campus to wrap up Regis Fest weekend.

The women's basketball program is hosting an Elite Clinic for girls in grades 9-12 looking to improve their game and experience Regis basketball through the Pride coaching staff and current players. Attendees should expect quality instruction, a high level of competition, and simulations of a college practice.

In addition, there will be sessions on recruiting and college admissions as well as a question-and-answer session with current players. The cost is $75 with the program scheduled to run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and questions about the clinic can be directed to Samantha Crough, head women's basketball coach, at samantha.crough@regiscollege.edu.

The women's lacrosse program is hosting a Fall Prospect Clinic led by the coaching staff, alumni, and current players as they provide prospective student-athletes an inside look into a college practice and the Pride program. The focus will be on a range of topics including stick work, lacrosse-specific agility skills, and small group games.

Attendees will also be provided an opportunity to tour the Regis College campus. The clinic is open to girls in grades 9-12 with check-in starting at 9:30 a.m. and the program running from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The cost of this clinic is $50, and questions can be directed to Courtney Duggan, head women's lacrosse coach, at courtney.duggan@regiscollege.edu.

The softball program is hosting a Prospect Clinic for girls in grades 7-12 to help players improve all aspects of their game. The clinic will include drills and exercises mimicking a college practice environment, led by experienced college coaches alongside their athletes to help participants enhance their technique, agility, and softball IQ. After the skills portion, participants will have an opportunity to showcase their own skills and apply what they have learned in a scrimmage coached by members of the Regis College softball team.

Before the clinic, participants have the ability to go on a campus tour and will receive a free T-shirt. The clinic, costing $125, is scheduled to run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a lunch break at 1 p.m. in which attendees will need to bring their own lunch.
