Regis College Places 104 Student-Athletes on Academic All-GNAC Team

2023-24 GREAT NORTHEAST ATHLETIC CONFERENCE (GNAC) ACADEMIC ALL-CONFERENCE PRESS RELEASE

WINTHROP, Mass. – Regis College is represented by 104 student-athletes as part of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference-record 1,554 student-athletes selected to the 2023-24 Academic All-GNAC Team, announced Monday, June 17, by the conference office.

In order to be eligible for the Academic All-GNAC Team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.25 cumulative grade point average and have reached/completed second-year academic status.

This is the seventh consecutive year that more than 1,000 GNAC student-athletes have earned a spot on the annual Academic All-GNAC Team and at least the 16th straight year that the GNAC has had a conference-record total. Regis's representation finished in triple digits for the sixth consecutive year.

All 19 Pride teams placed multiple representatives on the Academic All-GNAC Team, led by the women's track and field team with 15 honorees, followed by women's lacrosse and women's soccer with 12 selections each and men's soccer with 11 representatives. Seven student-athletes represent the softball team that received the Judith W. Burling Team Award for Academic Excellence this past April for having the highest team GPA in 2023.

Regis College is one of nine GNAC schools with 100 or more representatives on this year's Academic All-GNAC Team. Lasell University led the way with 139 selections, followed by Saint Joseph's College of Maine with 132 representatives and Norwich University with 125 honorees.

Regis College sponsors 19 intercollegiate sports within NCAA Division III as part of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference.
