2022-23 GREAT NORTHEAST ATHLETIC CONFERENCE (GNAC) ACADEMIC ALL-CONFERENCE PRESS RELEASE
WINTHROP, Mass. – Regis College is represented by 102 student-athletes as part of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference-record 1,361 student-athletes selected to the 2022-23 Academic All-GNAC Team, announced Thursday, June 15, by the conference office.
In order to be eligible for the Academic All-GNAC Team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.25 cumulative grade point average and have reached/completed second-year academic status. This is the sixth consecutive year that more than 1,000 GNAC student-athletes have earned a spot on the annual Academic All-GNAC Team and at least the 15th straight year that the GNAC has had a conference-record total.
18 Pride teams placed multiple representatives on the Academic All-GNAC Team, led by the women's track and field team with 18 honorees, followed by softball with 15 selections. Three student-athletes represent the women's tennis team that received the Judith W. Burling Team Award for Academic Excellence for having the highest team GPA in 2022.
Regis College is one of five GNAC schools with 100 or more representatives on this year's Academic All-GNAC Team. Lasell University led the way with 129 selections, followed by Norwich University with 117 honorees and Saint Joseph's College of Maine with 114 representatives. The Pride tied with Johnson and Wales University with 102 selections each.
Regis College sponsors 20 intercollegiate sports within NCAA Division III as part of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference.
