Regis Pride Athletics Welcomes New Assistant Coaches

WESTON, Mass. – The arrival of the 2022-23 academic year includes three new assistant coaches within the Regis College athletics department who have begun their tenure helping their respective Pride programs.

Robert Colburn joins the Regis men's lacrosse program as an assistant coach after graduating from Franklin Pierce University this past spring with his bachelor's degree in educational studies and history. Colburn was a four-year letterwinner for the Franklin Pierce men's lacrosse team, finishing his career in the top 20 on the Ravens' all-time list for groundballs with 98. He started 35 of the 39 matches he appeared in, causing 52 turnovers along with his 98 groundballs.

Lexi Crites enters her new assistant coaching role with the Pride field hockey program after graduating from Manhattanville College in May 2021 with her bachelor's degree in communication. Crites appeared in 54 career field hockey matches at Manhattanville, finishing with 18 goals and five assists for 41 career points. In 2019, she earned Second Team All-NECC honors after scoring 12 goals, including four game-winning tallies, as the Valiants posted a 17-3 overall record and won the NECC Tournament on its home field.

Madisyn Van Horn is the new assistant coach for the Regis women's lacrosse program after graduating from Franklin Pierce University this past spring with her bachelor's degree in biology. She was a defender for the Franklin Pierce women's lacrosse team, starting 40 of the 41 matches she appeared in. Van Horn finished her collegiate career with 62 groundballs and 35 caused turnovers. A two-time member of the IWLCA Division II Academic Honor Roll, she caused 20 turnovers during the 2022 season.

Regis College sponsors 20 intercollegiate sports within NCAA Division III as part of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference.
