The Regis College athletics department is teaming with the OFoundation to collect donations Monday, Feb. 10, through Tuesday, Feb. 18 of new or slightly worn basketball sneakers, balls, and jerseys/shorts to send to the youth of Haiti.
The OFoundation provides opportunities through education, sport, and the arts. The donated items will get a second (and probably third) life on the island. Currently 50% of the youth do not wear adequate footwear, and basketball sneakers are even more difficult to find. Your donation will be matched with a young person who needs the equipment the most.
Please bring donations to campus and place them in our attractive donation bin, located near the front desk of the Athletic Center overlooking Higgins Court. The OFoundation only accepts basketball-specific sneakers, balls, and apparel. Donations will be accepted starting Monday, Feb. 10, through the end of the day Tuesday, Feb. 18.
Please keep in mind the following event days when donations can be dropped off before enjoying these athletic competitions:
Tuesday, February 11 - Men's Volleyball vs. Johnson & Wales - 6 p.m. start
Wednesday, February 12 - Basketball Doubleheader - 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. starts
Saturday, February 15 - Women's Basketball vs. Anna Maria - 1 p.m. start
Tuesday, February 18 - Men's Basketball vs. Colby-Sawyer - 7 p.m. start
