Regis College sophomore cross country runner Sam Mildrum (Hingham, Mass.) has been named this week's Regis College Student-Athlete of the Week after having a strong showing at the James Earley Invitational on Saturday.

Mildrum was the leader of the Pride squad that placed 24th out of 38 teams at the invitational including being the top New England Collegiate Conference school. On the 8K course, Mildrum ran a new personal best with a time of 28:20.22 which was good for 84th place out of 373 qualified runners. His time of 28:20.22 also broke the school record for the course.

The Crimson and Gold return to action on Friday, October 16th when they travel to Franklin Park in Boston to take part in the Saints Invitational hosted by Emmanuel College
