Curtin, Boucias Sweep NECC Weekly Cross Country Honors

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The weekly honors keep coming for Molly Curtin (Brockton, Mass.) who was named the New England Collegiate Conference Runner of the Week, announced Monday by the NECC. And making it a clean sweep for the Pride, Maddie Boucias (Buckland, Mass.) was selected as the rookie of the week.

Molly Curtin placed 11th out of 204 runners in the 5k of the Codfish Bowl in Boston this past Saturday. Curtin led the Pride with a time of 19:50, to help secure 7th overall out of the 17 teams competing.

Boucias, the first NECC rookie honor this season, was the top freshman finisher for Regis, landing in 28th overall with a time of 20:17 at the Codfish Bowl 5k course.

Both Pride teams will have next weekend off before their next race at the James Earley Invitational held in Westfield, Mass. Start time for the race is scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
