PRIDE RUN HARD AT SAINTS INVITE

BOSTON, Mass. – The Regis College cross country teams took part in the Saints Invite hosted by Emmanuel College on Friday afternoon at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass.

The men were led by a 27th place finish from Sam Mildrum (Hingham, Mass.), who posted his best time at Franklin Park at 28:11.07. Shane Romanchick (Trumbull, Conn.) followed right behind him in 32nd place with a time of 28:25.75, while Jonathan Paul (Medford, Mass.) ran a great race as well with a time of 29:26.52. All three finished inside the top-60 in the 203 runner field.

On the women's side, current New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week Andrea O'Hearn (Pelham, N.H.) finished 25th out of 201 runners with a time of 21:38. Molly Curtin (Brockton, Mass.) was right on her heels in 26th place with a time of 21:41, with Sarah Backholm (Sutton, Mass.) posting a time of 23:09. Rachael Wood (Manchester, N.H.) ran 1:04 faster than her best time at Franklin Park, finishing today's race at 24:09.

Both teams are back in action next Saturday at Stanley Park in Westfield, Mass. for the New England Collegiate Conference Championships.
