REGIS RUNS AT JAMES EARLEY INVITATIONAL

WESTFIELD, Mass. – The Regis College men's and women's cross country teams ran at the James Earley invitational on Saturday morning at Stanley Park in Westfield, Mass. The Pride men finished 24th out of 38 squads with an average finish time of 29:46.99 while the women finished 25th of 39 teams with an average finish time 22:07.57.

Both Pride squads finished higher than any other New England Colelgiate Conference school at the invitational.

For the men, Sam Mildrum (Hingham, Mass.) was the top finisher as he completed the 8k course in 28:20.22 which was good for 84th place out of 373 runners. Mildrum also broke the school record for the course and set a new personal best. Junior Matt Norton (Weymouth, Mass.) crossed the finish line in 29:30.53 while Jonathan Paul (Medford, Mass.) finished 20 seconds behind his teammate with a time of 29:50.68. Freshman Jordan Dash (Orleans, Mass.) also had a strong showing in the event as he completed the event with a time of 32:20.61.

On the women's side, newcomer Andrea O'Hearn (Pelham, N.H.) has the best finish for the Pride as she placed 77th out of 409 women in the 5K event with a time of 20:40.95. O'Hearn's time was a new personal best. Sophomore Molly Curtin (Brockton, Mass.) completed the event with a time of 21:25.04 while her counterpart junior Siobhan McLaughlin (Derry, N.H.) finished three seconds behind Curtin with a finish time of 21:28.41.

The Crimson and Gold return to action next Friday, October 16th as the squad travels to Franklin Park for the Saints Invitational hosted by Emmanuel College at 4:00 p.m.
