REGIS RUNNERS COMPETE AT NCAA REGIONALS

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Regis College Men's and Women's Cross Country teams participated in the NCAA Regionals hosted by Williams College on Saturday morning in Williamstown, Mass.

For the men, freshman Sam Mildrum (Hingham, Mass.) was the top finisher for Regis in the 8k race with a time of 29.38. Matt Norton (Weymouth, Mass.) finished the race in 30:52 while Matt Mona (Barkhampsted, Conn.) was a second behind him finishing in 30:53. Owen McQuaid (Marlboro, Mass.) and Sean LaPrise (Medford, Mass.) also ran the course and fished with times of 33:46 and 35:22.

Siobhan McLaughlin (Derry, N.H.) posted the best time for the Pride women in the 6k race with a time of 26.12. Molly Curtin (Brockton, Mass.) ran the race in 28:45 while Mikayla Mooney (Guilford, Conn.) finished five places after Curtin with a time of 29:00. Alexa Lucas (Melrose, Mass.) finished in 30:15 while Rachel Wood (Manchester, N.H.) finished 30 second behind her (30:45). S.K. (Waltham, Mass.) competed in her last career collegiate Cross Country meet and finished the 6k in 31:53.

The Pride wrapped up a great Cross Country season as both teams finished in third place in the New England Collegiate Conference Championships.
