REGIS RETURNS TO ACTION AT JAMES EARLEY INVITE

WESTFIELD, Mass. - The Regis College women's and men's cross country teams participated in the James Earley Invite hosted by Westfield State University on Saturday afternoon.

For the women, Siobhan McLaughlin (Derry, N.H.) finished 119th out of the 424 runner field with a time of 21:08. Sarah Backholm (Sutton, Mass.) finished 166th with a time of 21:51, while Alexa Lucas (Melrose, Mass.) finished the course in 24:10.

S.K. (Waltham, Mass.) finished with a time of 24:55, with Diana Tran (Somerville, Mass.) and Rachel Wood (Manchester, N.H.) finishing right behind each other at 26:11 and 26:16, respectively.

On the men's side, Sam Mildrum (Hingham, Mass.) was the top finisher for the Pride, coming in 123rd place out of 388 runners, with a time of 28:43. Matt Mona(Barkhampsted, Conn.) was next for Regis posting a time of 29:08, and Matt Norton (Weymouth, Mass.) was seconds behind him at 29:32.

Owen McQuaid (Marlboro, Mass.) finished the course in 31:22, while Jeremy Israel (Randolph, Mass.) and Sean LaPrise (Medford, Mass.) finished four places apart with times of 33:01 and 33:13.

Both teams are back in action next Friday at the Saints Invitational hosted by Emmanuel College starting at 4:00 p.m.
