REGIS RUNS AT BLAZER INVITE

CHICOPEE, Mass. - The Regis College men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Blazer Invitational hosted by Elms College on Saturday morning in Chicopee, Mass. The Regis men finished sixth on the day as the top NECC team, while the women finished 12th.

On the men's side, sophomore captain Matt Norton (Weymouth, Mass.) led the Pride with a 27th place finish and a time of 31:57. Not far behind was senior Owen McQuaid (Marlboro, Mass.), with a time of 32:59, and Adam Thatcher (Coventry, R.I.), who finished the course in 37:03. Sean LaPrise (Medford, Mass.) and Ray Grasso (Orange, Mass.) finished out the field for the Pride.

For the women, Alexa Lucas (Melrose, Mass.) had the top time for Regis in the 6K race at 32:34. Diana Tran (Somerville, Mass.) followed with a time of 34:01, with Nicole Church (Apex, N.C.), Kylie Homem (Peabody, Mass.), and Caroline Haidul (Canton, Mass.) rounding out the field.

Both teams are back in action next Saturday when they travel to Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa. for the Paul Short Invite at 10:00 a.m.
