REGIS COMPETES AT NCAA DIII NEW ENGLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS

PORTLAND, Maine - Five members of the Regis College men's and women's cross country teams competed at the NCAA DIII New England Cross Country Championships at the University of Southern Maine on Saturday. The men ran an 8k course, while the women competed in a 6k race.

Leading the way for the men was freshman Matt Norton (Weymouth, Mass.), who finished 210th out of 366 total runners after completing the course in 28:45.57. Sophomore Jonathan Paul (Medford, Mass.) was not far behind, as he came in at 29:23.66.

Junior Owen McQuaid (Marlboro, Mass.), the third male runner for the Pride, crossed the finish line in 31:33.12.

Freshman Siobhan McLaughlin (Derry, N.H.) had the fastest time for the Pride women, as she came in at 24:20.63 to take a 144th place individual finish out of a field of 371 total runners.

Senior captain Sarah Schow (Southborough, Mass.) finished the course in a time of 27:30.19 for Regis.
