PRIDE RUN WELL AT SAINTS INVITATIONAL

BOSTON, Mass. - The Regis Men's and Women's cross country team competed in the Saints Invitational at Franklin Park on Friday, October 18.

Freshman standout Siobhan McLaughlin (Derry, N.H.) placed 6th out of 230 runners. She ran a solid time of 20:16 for the 3.1 kilometer course. Sarah Schow (Southborough, Mass.), the team captain, finished in 23:55 for a 74th place finish. S.K. (Waltham, Mass.) placed third for the Pride with a time of 25:58, while Krysten Sheppard (Medford, Mass.) finished in 26:45.

The men's team had strong finishes as well. Matt Norton (Weymouth, Mass.), a freshman, finished as Regis's top runner. He completed the course in 29:58 and finished 58th. Jonathan Paul (Medford, Mass.) finished strong with a time of 30:50, while Owen McQuaid (Marlboro, Mass.), a junior, finished with a time of 32:58. Jeremy Israel (Randolph, Mass.) shaved 50 seconds off his personal best, running a time of 33:00.

Both teams return to action next Saturday when they travel to Stanley Park in Westfield, Mass. for the New England Collegiate Conference Championships starting at 10:00 a.m.
