MCLAUGHLIN EARNS FOURTH NECC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK HONOR

WESTON, Mass. – For the third straight week and fourth time overall this season, freshman Siobhan McLaughlin (Derry, N.H.) of the Regis College women's cross country team has been named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Rookie of the Week, it was announced by the league's offices on Monday morning.

McLaughlin helped the Pride capture a ninth place team finish at the Elms College Invitational on Saturday after running the 5k course in 21:05. The freshman's time was good enough for a 13th place individual finish out of 129 total runners and was the fastest time among all NECC participants.

McLaughlin and the Pride will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 12 when they will compete in the James Early Invitational at Westfield State University. Race time is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m.
