MCLAUGHLIN COLLECTS THIRD NECC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK HONOR

WESTON, Mass. – For the second week in a row and third time overall this season, freshman Siobhan McLaughin (Derry, N.H.) of the Regis College women's cross country team has been named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Rookie of the Week, it was announced by the league's offices on Monday morning.

McLaughlin ran the 5k course at the 42nd Pop Crowell Invitational on Saturday in 21:00, which was the fastest time for Regis and good enough for a tenth place individual finish out of 177 total runners. The freshman helped the Pride capture a ninth place finish out of 17 total teams.

McLaughlin and the Pride will be back in action this Saturday, Sept. 28 where they will compete in the Blazer Invite at Chicopee State Park at 10:00 a.m.
