MCLAUGHLIN EARNS SECOND NECC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

WESTON, Mass. – Freshman Siobhan McLaughin (Derry, N.H.) of the Regis College women's cross country team has been named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Rookie of the Week for the second time this season, it was announced by the league's offices on Monday.

McLaughlin helped the Pride capture a fifth place finish at the Daniel Webster Invitational on Friday afternoon. She ran the 5k course in a time of 20:46, which was just 11 seconds shy of the top finisher. The rookie placed second out of 50 participants and recorded the fastest time among NECC runners.

The Pride will be back in action this weekend at Gordon College, where they will compete in the Pop Crowell Invitational on Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
