WESTON, Mass. – Freshman Siobhan McLaughlin (Derry, N.H.) of the Regis College women's cross country team has been named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Rookie of the Week, it was announced by the league's offices on Monday morning.

McLaughlin helped the Pride capture a sixth place team finish at the 5th Annual Fens Classic, the program's first varsity meet. McLaughlin completed the two mile course in 13:11, which was the fastest among Regis runners and was good enough for a ninth place individual finish out of 65 total runners.

Regis will be back in action on Friday, Sept. 13 at the Daniel Webster Invite. The race, which will take place at Mine Falls Park, is scheduled for a 4:00 p.m. start.
