WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL STANDS UP FOR A CURE

WESTON, Mass. - In the month of October, the Regis College women's volleyball team took a stand to find a cure for breast cancer joining the Side-Out Foundation to raise money for research.

The month began with the hosting of Newbury College on October 2nd as the honorary Dig Pink event. Attendance was great with the added attractions of concessions and raffle prizes. The team was also lucky enough to have a guest of honor on game day and coach for the game; a five-year breast cancer survivor and mother of junior captain Sarah Gold, Kathy Gold.

The girls also showed off their culinary skills with bake sales that took place on campus. Along with baked goods they sold decorated pink shirts for fans to wear to the game and around campus.

This past week Regis, Pride Women's volleyball hosted an evening event in LSU with a comedian and open-mic Karaoke to raise funds for the cause.

The women's volleyball program raised a total of $500 over the course of October and will be donating all proceeds to the Side-Out Foundation to find a cure for breast cancer.
