WESTON, Mass. – The Pride's Marilia Ramos (Chimbote, Peru) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week for women's volleyball after her standout performance this past week.

Ramos handed out a career and match-high 24 assists en route to a 3-0 victory over Bay Path College on Saturday afternoon. It was the sophomore's first career start as the team's primary setter. The win marked the first in conference play for Regis, who improves to 1-2 in the NECC. Ramos also registered three digs and one block assist in the match.

Regis will be back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 10 as the team travels to Lesley for an 8:00 p.m. conference match with the Lynx.
