WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College women's volleyball team earned the No. 3 seed in the upcoming NECC Women's Volleyball Tournament. The Pride (13-16) will host Mitchell College (6-15) on Wednesday night at 8:00 p.m.

Southern Vermont finished the New England Collegiate Conference Women's Volleyball season a perfect 8-0 in league play and has earned the top seed in the upcoming NECC Championship. The Mountaineers (22-6 overall, 8-0 NECC) have earned a first round bye and will host the semifinal and final rounds on Friday and Saturday, November 2-3.

Newbury (12-18, 6-2 NECC) finished second in the league standings and have also earned a first round bye.

The Pride defeated the Mariners in the final game of the regular season, 3-2, on Saturday. Vanessa Noesi (Puerta Plata, D.R.) posted 16 kills and seven total blocks in the win. Wednesday's match will be the Pride's first-ever NECC postseason game hosted by Regis. The winner will meet Newbury in a semifinal match Friday at Southern Vermont.

Fifth seed Lesley University (7-14, 4-4 NECC) will travel to fourth seed Daniel Webster (15-10, 5-3 NECC) in the other first round contest. The winner will play host and top seed Southern Vermont on Friday.

Due to weather concerns, the tournament schedule has been adjusted. First round games will be played on Wednesday, October 31 at the higher seed. Winners will advance to the semifinals held at Southern Vermont on Friday, November 2. Semifinal competition starts Friday at 5:00 pm with the championship on Saturday, November 3 at 2:00 p.m.
