SARA GOLD ANNOUNCED TO ALL-TCCC HONORABLE MENTION TEAM

WESTON, Mass.—The Commonwealth Coast Conference named Regis College's freshman libero Sara Gold (North Hollywood, Calif./Notre Dame) as an All-TCCC Honorable Mention team member. The conference office made the announcement Tuesday afternoon.

Voting of All-TCCC members is done by the head coaches of the 14 respective institutions that make up The Commonwealth Coast Conference.

Gold is ranked in the top 10 in two conference categories. She ranks sixth in digs averaging 4.24 dig/set, and fourth with 22 service aces against conference opponents. Her outstanding play also gives her team-highs in both digs (433 total) and service aces (74) this season.

In Regis' most recent match versus Colby-Sawyer (Oct. 30), Gold registered 21 digs. She had a season-high 29 digs against Salve Regina (Oct. 19).

Her on court play has greatly assisted the Pride in reaching the conference postseason for the third consecutive year.

She has started 121 sets for the Pride in her freshman year, and will lead Regis College into its conference quarterfinal match November 2. The Pride defeated Wentworth 3-0 to earn its playoff bid, and outright ownership of the eighth seed.

Regis College has made three consecutive appearances in the TCCC postseason, having played Endicott in 2008 and 2009, this will be the first time the Pride will face Roger Williams.

Regis College dropped a 3-0 decision to the Hawks (Oct. 5). Gold had 10 digs and four service aces in the match.
