PRIDE FALLS TO GOLDEN BEARS 3-0

Weston, Mass—The Regis College women's volleyball team was defeated by Western New England College Wednesday (Oct. 27) by the score of 3-0. The Pride moves to 8-23 overall on the season and are 2-6 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference. The visiting Golden Bears move to 9-18 overall on the season and are 5-3 in TCCC play

Leading the Pride in kills was Megan Pratt (Rockland, Mass. /Rockland) who had a team high of seven.  Senior Randi Garrity (Reading, Mass. /Reading Memorial) tallied 13 assists for the Pride. The Golden Bears won the first match by the score of 25-15 with Lauren Landri (New Canaan, Conn. /New Canaan) leading the way by registering four kills in the match.

In the second match the Golden Bears continued to roll on offense winning the second match by the score of 13-25.  The Golden bears were led by Katharina Boes (Buffalo Grove, I.L. / Stevenson) who tallied 11 assists in the match.The third match was won by the Golden Bears by the score of the 25-15 who played strong throughout the game. Marci Egbert (Wayne, N.J. /Wayne) led the Golden Bears with six digs in the match.

The Pride's next match up is against Wentworth Institute of Technology on Saturday (Oct. 30)

The Golden Bears have their next matchup against Eastern Nazarene College Saturday (Oct. 30) at 11:00 am
