Women’s Tennis Falls to Colby-Sawyer
NEW LONDON, N.H. – The Regis College women's tennis team could not get by Colby-Sawyer Saturday afternoon as it fell 8-1 to the Chargers in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) matchup at the Kelsey Courts on the campus of Colby-Sawyer.
The Pride were unable to clinch a doubles match, falling in third doubles before losing first and second doubles by identical 8-2 scores.
In singles, the Chargers won five matches, with the exception being sixth singles where Ginger Boodakian (Burlington, Mass.) was able to earn a point for the Pride (6-4, 2-6, 1-0 (10-8)).
The Pride, who fall to 7-2 overall and 4-2 within the GNAC, will return to action next Saturday, Oct. 13 to end the fall regular season before going into GNAC Tournament play.
