Barton's Late Goal Lifts Women's Soccer Over Dean

FRANKLIN, Mass. - Sheehan Barton (Bourne, Mass.) netted her first career goal which proved to be the gamewinner in the 88th minute in a 1-0 win by the Regis (Mass.) women's soccer team over Dean College Monday night. The Pride improves to 4-3 while Dean drops to 1-5.

The win keeps Regis perfect on the road (3-0) with the last two both 1-0 results. Barton and Michaela Bouvette (Mattapoisett, Mass.) were active in the attacking third, both registering a three shots all on target. Noelle Garcia (Los Angeles, Calif.) posted a game-high four shots.

Amanda Matias (Ludlow, Mass.) made two saves in 90 minutes of action for the Pride while Macy Parisee (East Freetown, Mass.) delivered an impressive performance with 14 saves.

The Pride have nearly one week off before returning to conference play on Sunday, Sept. 25 at Bay Path. Kickoff is set for 2:00 p.m.

Dean hosts Bay Bath on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 4:00 p.m.
