Leah Spencer enters her second year as an assistant coach within the Regis College women's basketball program.

During the 2021-22 campaign, the team posted a 13-9 overall record, including an 11-3 mark within the GNAC to finish fourth in the league and receive a bye into the quarterfinals of the GNAC Tournament. The Pride won a home game in the tournament to reach the semifinals. 

Spencer was a four-year letterwinner at Saint Michael's College in Colchester, Vt., starting 66 of the 81 games she appeared in. She averaged 11.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game during her collegiate career. She earned Third Team All-Northeast 10 honors as a junior in 2016-17 after averaging 15.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.2 steals per game. In the final game of her senior season, she scored 23 points at Merrimack as she reached double figures in scoring in eight of the last 10 games of the 2017-18 campaign.

Spencer received her Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Saint Michael's College in 2018 and is pursuing her master's degree in strategic sports communication at Regis.
