ATTLEBORO, Mass. - Brittany Stone (West Bridgewater, Mass.), a junior on the Regis (Mass.) women's basketball team, has been named both the New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week and the the New England Women's Basketball Association Weekly Honor Roll.

Stone averaged nearly a double-double over the Pride's two season-opening games over the weekend. The forward had 22 points, 13 rebounds, four blocks and one steal in Friday night's opener, a 58-55 win over Johnson & Wales.

She followed up the performance the next night, posting 15 points and six rebounds against UNE to help the Pride to a runner-up finish at the Ramada Roundball Invitational. Stone was named to the All-Tournament team for her efforts over the two games.

Stone and the Pride are off until after the Thanksgiving holiday, but return to the court to face Mitchell College next Tuesday night, Nov. 29 on the road. Tip-off for both teams' NECC opener is slated for 5:30 p.m.
