Women's Basketball Too Much For Daniel Webster

NASHUABrittany Stone (West Bridgewater, Mass.) continued her early-season tear with 27 points and 16 rebounds to help the Regis (Mass.) women's basketball team to an 80-51 win over Daniel Webster, Saturday in New England Collegiate Conference action at Mario Vagge Gymnasium.

Amanda Hawkesworth (Abington, Mass.) added 12 points for the Pride (4-1, 3-0 NECC) who used a 21-6 second quarter run to pull away. 11 of 13 Regis players who touched the floor contributed points including Melissa Rogers (Billerica, Mass.) who added nine points off the bench.

The tandem of Kayla Free (Quincy, Mass.) and Escarlin Reynoso (Lawrence, Mass.) posted 13 points apiece for the Eagles (0-8, 0-3 NECC) Amanda Dargie (Melbourne, Fla.) picked up 10 points for the Eagles with three assists.

Regis used a key size advantage to post a 64-36 advantage on the glass and shot 40-percent on the day.

The Pride return to action later this month, traveling to Las Vegas to play Cal Lutheran and Montclair State at the Las Vegas Hoopla on Dec. 20 and 21. Tip off for both games is set for 3:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
