PRIDE HEADED BACK TO MONTCLAIR STATE FOR NCAA TOURNAMENT

WESTON, Mass. – For the third straight NCAA Tournament, the Regis College women's basketball team will travel to Montclair State University for an NCAA Tournament First Round game on Friday night.

The Pride sits at 22-5 overall after winning their third consecutive New England Collegiate Conference Championship on Saturday afternoon. The Pride enters the NCAA Tournament having won 18 of their last 20 games, including nine-straight to end the season.

No. 7/8 Montclair State currently sits at 26-1 overall after capturing their third-straight NJAC Championship with a 59-42 victory over Stockton University.

Regis and Montclair State have met once a year the last four seasons with the Red Hawks holding a 4-0 mark in those games. The two teams first met in the Eastern Connecticut Tip-Off Tournament back in 2011, with the MSU pulling out the 73-66 win.

The last two meetings have come in the NCAA Tournament the Red Hawks posting an 87-47 win back in 2013 and a 78-51 victory in 2014.

The winner of Friday night's game will take on the winner of Stevenson and Williams who will face off in the other First Round matchup hosted by Montclair State.
