STONE EARNS ANOTHER NECC WEEKLY AWARD

WESTON, Mass. – Regis College freshman forward Brittany Stone (West Bridgewater, Mass.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week in Women's Basketball it was announced on Monday morning. This is Stone's seventh NECC Rookie of the Week award.

Stone started and played in three games for the Pride this week. She averaged a double-double. 20.3 points and 12.0 rebounds while shooting 54.5% from the field. Stone also averaged 1.7 blocks per game, dished out 1.3 assists and made 1.3 steals per contest. During the February 17th game against Lesley, Stone scored 19 points, came down with six rebounds, handed out two assists, committed two thefts and blocked a shot. She recorded a double-double during the next two contests. Against Wheelock, Stone scored 19 points and snagged 17 rebounds while blocking three shots versus the Wildcats. During the regular season finale versus Southern Vermont, Stone was dominant in the paint connecting on 58.8% of her shots for 23 points, she also grabbed 13 rebounds, with a pair of steals and an assist.

Regis returns to action on Friday, February 27th when the Pride host the NECC Semifinals at 6 p.m.
