WESTON, Mass. – Regis College sophomore forward Amanda Hawkesworth (Abington, Mass.) has been named to the New England Women's Basketball Association's (NEWBA) Weekly Honor Roll it was announced on Monday afternoon.

Hawkesworth helped lead the Pride (20-5, 18-0) to three victories against New England Collegiate Conference opponents this past week.

During the three game stretch, Hawkesworth averaged 16.3 points on 46.9% shooting while coming down with 9.7 rebounds, dishing out 4.3 assists, and making 1.3 steals. She had her highest scoring output versus Lesley University on February 17th when she scored 19 points. Hawkesworth recorded two double-doubles during the three wins; the first was on February 19th when she dropped 14 points and snagged 10 caroms at Wheelock College and the second was during the Senior Day victory against Southern Vermont College on February 21st (16 points, 10 rebounds)

Hawkesworth finished the season leading the Crimson and Gold in rebounds per game (9.6) and ranked second on the squad in scoring (15.2 ppg)

The Pride return to the court on Friday February 27th as Regis hosts the NECC Semifinals against either Wheelock or Elms with tip-off slated for 6:00 p.m.
